Psalm 118:1-7

1 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His steadfast love endures forever!
2 Let Israel say, "His steadfast love endures forever,"
3 Let the house of Aaron say, "His steadfast love endures forever."
4 Let those who fear the Lord say, "His steadfast love endures forever."
5 Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.
6 With the Lord on my side I do not fear. What can mortals do to me?
7 The Lord is on my side to help me; I shall look in triumph on those who hate me

The verses of this psalm remind us that God's love lasts forever. All people should give thanks to God for He is good! No matter how we feel in life, even in distress – with God by our side, we are not afraid.

Dear God, when we are troubled, we can remind ourselves that you love us and that love lasts forever. We can be upset, but know that you can cheer us up. Thank you God for always being with us. Amen

Psalm 1:1-2

1 Happy are those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path that sinners tread, or sit in the seat of scoffers;
2 but their delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law they meditate day and night

If you follow the word of the Lord you will be happy and safe. Following the Lord and rejoicing in His word gives me great pleasure. I experience great blessings in the teachings of the Lord. I know that by following Him I will have success in this life and salvation in the life to come.

Dear Lord, We thank you for this beautiful day. Please bless my family and friends and keep them safe and healthy. Thank you for your steadfast love. We follow you because you are the way and we pray to you because you are glorious. Your praise endures forever. Amen.

Psalm 139:1-4

1 O Lord you have searched me and known me.
2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away.
3 You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.
4 Even before a word om my tongue, O Lord you know it completely.

God knows every single thing about me! Even before I say a word. He knows what my words will be! What a great comfort that God knows me better than anyone – even better than I know myself! He loves me, He made me and He will never leave me!

Dear God, Thank you for loving me so much that you know me better than I could ever know myself, and you love me anyway! Help me to get to know you better by hearing your voice through your word. Amen

Psalm 9:1-2

1 I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
2 I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O most high.

This means to me that I as a child of God, will believe in God with my whole heart and try and follow Him the best that can be done. I will bring people to church and praise Him.

Dear God, Watch over us and protect us as we follow you and love you. Keep us following in your footsteps each week through the good times and bad. Amen

Psalm 31:1-3

1 In you O Lord, I seek refuge; do not let me ever be put to shame; in your righhteousness deliver me.
2 Incline your ear to me; rescue me speedily. Be a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to save me.
3 You are indeed my rock and my fortress; for your name's sake lead me and guide me.

I believe that the first verse means that the Lord will protect me from evil and keep me in His praise and strength. To deliver me into the light rather the darkness. The second verse tells me to depend on Him to guide me into that light. The third verse lets me know that God is our strength and our stability in my life.

Dear Lord, Protect me and my family as we face difficult obstacles in life. Watch over us and lead us to the right path in life. In God's name and grace. Amen

Psalm 25:1-3

1 To you O Lord, I lift up my soul.
2 O my God, in you I trust;do not let me be put to shame; do not let my enemies exult over me.
3 Do not let those who wait for you be put to shame; let them be ashamed who are wontonly treacherous.

We need to place our trust in God that our enemies will not triumph over us and that people who says things that are not true should be ashamed.

Dear Lord, Thank you for the right guidance and deliverance and for our enemies not to triumph over us. Amen

Psalm 102:1-2

1 Hear my prayer. O Lord; let my cry come to you.
2 Do not hide your face from me in the day of my distress. Incline your ear to me; answer me speedily in the day when I call.

To me the psalm says that on the day of coming home to the Lord, please let him hear me swiftly and with a happy heart. May He guide me through my passing or moments of distress and lift me up through times of need. May I always feel His presence so that I may walk in through heaven's gate when I am called.

Dear Lord, I pray that the Lord bless me and my family with the necessities of life and much more which He has given us throughout our lives. I pray that He will lead me down the road to righteousness and away from the devils counterfeit version of my life. I ask for forgiveness from the Lord and that He continues to watch over me and my family through the rough times and the happy times. Help me and my family get along and have more good and happy moments with each other. I pray this in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
