Natural Systems Thinking

During this conference, we will discuss the basics of natural systems theory: how societal, family, and organizational stressors affect our emotional fields, and ways in which the theory’s application and influence on ministry provide a new lens for response and relationship.

 

About Our Speaker

MaryAnn PortraitDeacon Mary Ann Schwabe is the ELCA Executive for Synod Relations. From 2005 to 2014 she served as an Assistant to the Bishop in the Northeastern Ohio Synod. Prior to her calls to the synod and churchwide staff, she served congregations as a deacon with a focus in church music, religious education, and family ministry. A student of Bowen theory since 1993, she coordinates the ELCA Systems Academy and leads a systems team in her own geographic synod.
