Most congregations have (and should have) a “Safe Child Policy.” The policy is just a first step in “protecting the least of these.” Beyond the policy, faith leaders need to recognize and have a process to respond to allegations of abuse, sex offenders in their congregation, the reality of victims/survivors in a congregation, and trauma.

In these 4 weeks we will begin to cover:
⦁ The significance of the faith community
⦁ Pastoring in the midst of trauma
⦁ Understanding Sex Offenders because they are in your Church
⦁ Setting boundaries for predators
⦁ Responding to disclosures of abuse
