Covenant

Prayer ministry in the Northern Great Lakes Synod is exciting, stimulating, nurturing, growing … and goes a long way! Part of our prayer ministry as a synod involves congregations and individuals. But part of our ministry also includes brothers and sisters throughout this country and around the world. We continue to have a vibrant relationship with our companion synod, the Eastern and Coastal Diocese of Tanzania, and many of our congregations have a relationship with congregations in Tanzania. Prayer for each other is a big part of those relationships.

Another relationship is with our partner synod, the Delaware/Maryland Synod. Frequently congregations in that synod are lifted up in our monthly prayer calendar. We may never meet them, we may never know them, but they are partners in the Gospel and we remember them and their ministry in our prayers!

The Northern Great Lakes Synod and the Delaware/Maryland Synod have joined in a covenant to pray for each other and to remember each other. In 2004 members of the Synod Council celebrated the covenant and affirmed the relationship we have with the DE/MD Synod. http://www.demdsynod.org
