S.D. Giere, PhD (University of St. Andrews), serves as Professor of Biblical Interpretation at Wartburg Theological Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa, USA, Earth. He is an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and has served parishes in North Dakota, though that’s been a wee while back now. He and his spouse, Bishop Amy Current, have two grown offspring and couple of grand-offspring, in whom they take delight. His most recent book is Freedom and Imagination: Trusting Christ in an Age of Bad Faith (Fortress, 2023). Have a read, if you dare. When he’s not fiddling about with his day job, you might finding him playing his bagpipes at a cemetery or in a parade near you.
